Terms of Service

Welcome to StableBusiness ("StableBusiness," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StableBusiness website, applications, software, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use StableBusiness. If you register on behalf of a business, boarding stable, riding school, nonprofit, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
StableBusiness is cloud-based horse stable management software designed to assist equine businesses with organizing and managing their operations. Features may include horse profiles, boarding management, stall assignments, health and vaccination tracking, lesson scheduling, task management, staff management, owner portal access, billing and invoicing, payment collection, email notifications, reporting and analytics, and file and photo storage. Features may be added, modified, or removed as the Service evolves.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep your information current, maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription, Billing & Payments
StableBusiness is offered as a recurring subscription service. By subscribing, you authorize StableBusiness and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees. Subscriptions renew automatically. Billing occurs in advance for each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically generate refunds. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Failure to maintain a valid payment method may result in suspension or termination of the Service.
5. Free Trials
We may occasionally offer free trials. Unless cancelled before the trial expires, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription using the payment method you provided.
6. Customer Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you upload or create using StableBusiness, including horse records, health records, vaccination information, medication schedules, customer information, billing information, uploaded documents, photos, and messages. You grant StableBusiness a limited license to store, process, back up, and transmit this data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will never sell your business data.
7. Data Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Information regarding how we collect, store, and process your information is described in our Privacy Policy. We only share data with trusted service providers necessary to operate the Service, including Supabase (database and storage), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (transactional email). Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices.
8. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect customer information. Despite these efforts, no Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining strong passwords and protecting access to your account.
9. Data Backups & Retention
StableBusiness performs regular backups intended to reduce the risk of accidental data loss. However, backups are not guaranteed. Customers remain responsible for retaining copies of critical business records. Deleted information may not always be recoverable. Following account cancellation, data may be retained for up to ninety (90) days before permanent deletion unless required by law or needed for legitimate business purposes.
10. Data Export
You may export certain business records while your subscription is active. After permanent account deletion, exported data may no longer be available. Customers are encouraged to export their information before cancelling their account.
11. Horse Health & Veterinary Disclaimer
StableBusiness is an organizational and record-keeping tool. It is not veterinary software and does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, or medical recommendations. Medication reminders, vaccination reminders, and similar notifications are provided solely as convenience features. You remain solely responsible for horse care, medical decisions, veterinary treatment, medication administration, and compliance with applicable regulations. Failure of a reminder, notification, or software feature shall not relieve you of these responsibilities.
12. Payment Processing
Online payments are securely processed through Stripe. StableBusiness does not store your complete credit card information. Payment processing is subject to Stripe's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
13. AI Features
Some features of StableBusiness may incorporate artificial intelligence ("AI") to assist with drafting communications, summarizing information, or generating suggestions. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before relying upon it. StableBusiness is not responsible for decisions made based upon AI-generated information.
14. Acceptable Use
You agree not to violate any applicable laws, upload malicious software, attempt unauthorized access to other accounts, reverse engineer the Service, interfere with Service availability, use the Service to send spam, upload unlawful or infringing content, misrepresent your identity, or circumvent subscription or licensing restrictions. We reserve the right to investigate violations and suspend offending accounts.
15. Availability & Maintenance
We strive to maintain reliable service availability. However, StableBusiness does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, software updates, third-party outages, and other events beyond our control may temporarily interrupt the Service. Where practical, scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance.
16. Intellectual Property
The StableBusiness software, source code, designs, logos, trademarks, documentation, user interface, graphics, and related materials remain the exclusive property of StableBusiness. No ownership rights are transferred to you. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
17. Feedback
If you submit ideas, feature requests, suggestions, or other feedback, you grant StableBusiness a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback without compensation.
18. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, subscription payments fail, fraudulent activity is detected, your account presents a security risk, or continued use could harm the Service or other customers. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Termination does not relieve you of any unpaid fees already owed.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StableBusiness shall not be liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, lost data, business interruption, or consequential, incidental, special, or indirect damages. StableBusiness's total cumulative liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StableBusiness and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable laws, your handling or care of horses, or disputes with customers, horse owners, employees, contractors, or third parties.
21. Service Changes
We reserve the right to modify, replace, improve, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. Whenever practical, material changes will be communicated in advance.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of StableBusiness after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within Ohio.
24. Force Majeure
StableBusiness shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, internet outages, cyberattacks, labor disputes, acts of government, war, terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, or failures of third-party providers.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and StableBusiness regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
